A former State Champion basketball player and first-generation student, Stefanie brings 17 years as a school counselor to WayForward College Consulting.

About Me

Growing up in Colorado, Stefanie Abrams was a State Champion basketball player with offers from multiple colleges — but as a first-generation student who started the college process late with no one to guide her, she had to problem-solve her own way through athletic recruitment, ultimately landing at Saint Mary's College in Notre Dame, Indiana as a proud collegiate athlete.

With 17 years as a school counselor across urban and suburban communities, Stefanie has built a reputation as a trusted advocate who makes teenagers feel truly heard and valued. As founder of WayForward College Consulting, she draws on her own unconventional path to help families navigate the admissions process, regularly visiting colleges with her own family and staying current through ongoing professional development and conferences.
