About Me
Kate Hurd, principal consultant and vice president of operations at One-on-One College Consulting, joined the team in 2011 and has counseled hundreds of high school students through their admissions journeys. A certified MBTI® Practitioner, she holds a B.A. in Psychology from Colby College and a certificate in Independent Educational Consulting from UC Irvine, bringing extensive HR, operations, and career counseling experience — including managing over 300 remote admissions consultants at an edtech company.
A former collegiate softball captain and All-America Scholar-Athlete, Kate coached softball at Newton North High School for many years, and now combines her management and training background with educational consulting to help lead One-on-One's growth.
