About Me
Marcia Bannon earned her Independent Educational Consultant Certificate from UC Irvine in 2021, drawing on over ten years as a para-educator working with general and special education students from kindergarten through eighth grade, plus a decade earlier in marketing and public relations for law firms and nonprofits — skills she now uses to help students present their best selves in essays, applications, and interviews.
As the parent of two adult children she helped through their own college search, Marcia has firsthand insight into how stressful the process can be for a whole family. She's visited dozens of colleges nationwide, is a member of HECA and College Consultants of Colorado, and holds a B.S. in Broadcast Journalism from the University of Illinois. An avid hiker and cyclist who's completed all of Utah's Mighty Five national parks, she enjoys reading, piano, theater, and travel in her free time.
