A National Book Critics Circle finalist author, Manette is Professor Emerita at the University of Miami after directing its MFA program for 15 years.

About Me

Manette Ansay's advisees have gone on to schools including CU Boulder, University of Michigan, University of Chicago, American University, Claremont McKenna, NYU, UC Berkeley, and Florida State, along with community colleges and bridge programs, earning scholarships ranging from the CBYX study-abroad award to the Bank of America Student Leaders Program and DAAD RISE internships. She visits a wide range of college campuses each year — recently including UCLA, Georgia Tech, Northwestern, and Colorado College — to see firsthand what each has to offer.

A member of the College Consultants of Colorado and an Associate Member of IECA, Manette taught at Vanderbilt, Marquette, University of the South, and the University of Miami, where she is Professor Emerita after directing the university's MFA program for 15 years. She's the author of the novel Vinegar Hill, an Oprah Book Club selection, and Midnight Champagne, a finalist for the National Book Critics Circle Award.
