About Me
Dr. Monica Andrews often starts by asking students to identify two adults who love their work and talk with them about the paths that led there — some perceptive students realize one of those adults is already in front of them. She began her private practice in 2005 to help families understand the college admissions process and support students' successful transition to college, staying current through annual college visits, national conferences, and ongoing research.
Monica has authored seven guides on the transition from high school to college, including the DVD and workbook College Success for Students with Learning Challenges, used in high schools nationwide. She leads training workshops for counselors through organizations including SERF, NESCA, NEACAC, and IECA, helped organize a national gap year fair and resource center, and spent seven summers as an essay specialist with College Horizons.
