Audrey's primary focus of the last decade has been the founding and building of the Pitt Hopkins Research Foundation (PHRF), a rare disease non-profit dedicated to finding treatments and a cure for Pitt Hopkins Syndrome. As the only foundation devoted to this rare disease, her work also offers support to the community in the form of awareness, community and education. She has led the organization as president and founder since its inception 9 years ago, raising more than $6 million, and launching more than 60 pre-clinical and discovery programs in diverse therapeutic areas. As the mother of a son suffering with this debilitating disease, her passion is to make patient lives better through science. Expertise in fundraising, designing and implementing research projects and clinical trials, and rare disease advocacy. Skilled in team building and leadership, non-profit financial management and compliance, organizational strategic planning and implementation, and program design and oversight. As a former journalist and magazine editor, Audrey also uses her communication and storytelling acumen in the fields of college essay advising and public relations.

About Me

As a magazine editor with 15 years of experience and a college essay editor for the last 10 years, I've seen the college consulting business get nuttier and pricier and I'm over seeing families stress needlessly for months, sometimes years, at exorbitant prices. I want to help students focus on schools that are right for them and get those dreaded essays out of the way so that they can actually enjoy their senior year!

My work is as much mentoring as it is essay editing. I love helping students find their voices, hone their goals and sometimes even discover a thing or two about themselves. As we work together, their confidence improves, and then, so do their essays. Excellent college acceptances follow. For the last decade, more than 93 percent of my students have been admitted to their first or second-choice schools.
