About Me

I empower students and families with the knowledge and strategies they need to navigate college admissions with confidence. From course selection and extracurricular planning to essay writing, I guide students in presenting their best selves while reducing the overwhelm that often accompanies college admissions.

My personalized approach is built on encouragement, empathy, and accountability. By breaking the journey into manageable steps tailored to each student, I help reduce anxiety while fostering a sense of ownership in the process. This structured, supportive approach not only strengthens applications but also minimizes stress for families.

I work with students to optimize every aspect of their applications and guide them in presenting their best selves—whether by identifying meaningful extracurriculars that align with their interests and strengths or by crafting compelling essays that authentically represent their unique stories and achievements. My goal is twofold: to help students stand out at their best-fit schools while also managing the process in a way that reduces stress and preserves family relationships during this important time.

EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND — In addition to holding an MBA in Marketing from the Strome College of Business at Old Dominion University and a Bachelor of Science in Management from Jacksonville University, I am a graduate of IECA's Summer Training Institute in Educational Consulting and am currently pursuing a graduate certificate in College Counseling from UCLA. I am also a WOW Essay Certified Coach and have completed additional training in guiding students through the essay writing process through UCLA, Prompt, and several college essay experts. Additionally, I serve as a volunteer college coach for ScholarMatch, a non-profit organization that assists first-generation and lower-income students with college applications.

PROFESSIONAL CREDENTIALS AND AFFILIATIONS — Professional development and staying current with admission trends are central to my practice. I maintain active memberships in leading professional organizations, including IECA (Independent Educational Consultant Association), HECA (Higher Education Counseling Association), and SACAC (Southern Association for College Admission Counseling). I regularly tour college campuses to gather firsthand knowledge of schools and attend professional conferences and workshops to stay informed about the latest developments in college admissions.
