Tina helps families navigate the complicated college application process by mentoring high school students through the college and admissions process. As a UCLA-trained College Consultant, she empowers students to embrace their strengths and understand their learning styles. Together, they work to create a roadmap for each aspect of the college admissions journey including academic and extracurricular activities. With her guidance and support, students follow an individualized path that begins with self-reflection and interest assessments. Each student explores different higher education institutions to create their unique list of best-fit colleges. Tina works diligently and carefully with students to provide a structured yet student-focused plan to reduce the stressful process of creating the college lists, crafting meaningful and authentic that matter to admissions, and managing the application timelines. She believes the preparation for moving on from high school is a special time that allows the student to grow and mature into a young adult. Tina's goal is to provide students with skills and wisdom that translate to a successful college transition. Working with a wide range of students, including those with neurodiversity and/or learning differences, she creates a safe learning environment for all students so that each can discover their true potential. Tina's students successfully navigate the process and not only get into colleges they love but colleges where they will thrive.

About Me

I am an experienced educational consultant who possesses a Certificate in College Counseling with distinction from UCLA. I have worked in the field of education and child counseling for most of my adult life. I began my interest in Educational Consulting by mentoring local high school students with the college application process, initially with a focus on the college essays. I enjoyed the process so much I decided to receive formal training in college counseling. I am also a member of the Independent Educational Consultants Association and the Western Association of College Admissions Counseling. Both organizations holds its members to the highest ethical and best practice standards as well as provide ongoing professional development. I currently serve on the IECA Outreach Committee, encouraging other IECs to join our professional group and promote best practices in our field. I counsel students in 8-12th grade and help them plan out their journey towards higher education after high school graduation. For the past 6 years, with my guidance, students have successfully navigated the college admissions landscape.

Based on the student’s current educational path and unique abilities, students achieve their educational goals and find the right university fit. I am very familiar with the pressures students and their families can experience and my goal is to reduce the stress of the college application journey and make it more enjoyable.
