Christopher “Chris” Parsons is a South Carolina based educational consultant and founder of The College Planning Center, formerly College-Bound Consulting. With decades of classroom and college consulting experience, he helps students and families navigate college planning, admissions preparation, scholarship searches, essay guidance, test-optional admissions, and financial aid planning.

Chris brings a strong academic and teaching background to his work. He is a former English educator who pursued doctoral studies in English Literature and Creative Writing at the University of South Carolina, earned a Master’s degree in English, and holds a B.A. in English and History from The Citadel. During his own education, he earned multiple scholarship offers totaling nearly $250,000, studied abroad in England and Germany, graduated summa cum laude, and was recognized as a four-time Academic All-Conference athlete.

Through The College Planning Center, Chris and his team provide personalized college counseling for families across South Carolina, North Carolina, and nearby areas. Their services help students identify strong-fit colleges, build authentic applications, organize deadlines, strengthen essays, search for scholarships, and make informed college decisions. Chris also supports community education through free college planning workshops and College All-In College Planning, a nonprofit initiative created to make college guidance more accessible to students from all financial backgrounds.
