About Me
Kate N. grew up shaped by education and service, with parents who were teachers and volunteers, and knew early on she was meant to work in education and community development. After a stint at a community foundation supporting nonprofits, she moved into international education, helping students study abroad and navigate community service, careers, and academics along the way.
Today, Kate works as an independent coach and consultant, drawing on 17 years in university settings providing academic advising and career coaching, plus formal career coaching training through the National Association of Colleges and Employers. She co-founded the Putnam County Mural Project (13 murals across the county) and the Winter Wonderland Lights Festival, and has helped raise over $465,000 for local civic projects since 2014. She's pursued training through IECA to bring her extensive coaching background to high school students applying to college.
