About Me

Kerry began working with college bound students in 2013 in Los Angeles. She saw a need to offer supplementary help to what the kids were getting from their school counselors. School counselors in California can have a ratio of 350 students to one college counselor and sometimes high-schoolers can benefit from a bit of extra personalized assistance in the college application process. Coming from a long career as a studio executive, a film producer and a casting director, Rock saw that the skills she had honed in those areas over 30 years would be very much germane to the skills needed to work with students and their parents in the college preparation and application process. The film business is very much about intuitive and successful 'matching' - script to director, actor to part and distributor to title. Being a good matchmaker is also instrumental to the work we do in college counseling.
