About Me

An experienced speech-language pathologist and Independent Educational Consultant, Marie is dedicated to empowering students to succeed in college and beyond. Specializing in college counseling for neurodiverse individuals and those with learning differences, the approach is strength-based, neurodiversity-affirming, and tailored to each student’s unique needs.

Marie begins with comprehensive meetings to review academic records, testing, and IEP/504 plans, creating a detailed profile of each student. She develops personalized college plans, including tailored college lists, application guidance, and strategies for building essential skills. Key focus areas include social skills, executive functioning, self-advocacy, and navigating disability accommodations, ensuring students are prepared for the challenges of college life.

Services go beyond applications, offering expert insights into college support programs nationwide to help families identify the best-fit colleges with the resources needed for students to thrive. If needed, she recommends gap years or transition programs to build independence, maturity, and real-world experience.

Marie is a licensed speech-language pathologist in New York and Connecticut, an Associate Member of the Independent Educational Consultants Association, a WOW certified essay coach, and a UCLA PEERS® Adolescent Certified Provider. With experience running social skills groups and coaching teens in general and special education settings, she focuses on fostering positive peer relationships and self-management skills.

As a dedicated college mentor for nearly a decade, Marie is passionate about expanding access to higher education for first-generation and low-income students, ensuring every student has the opportunity to thrive in a college setting that aligns with their strengths and goals.
