bio

Being an IEC brings together my favorite parts of my previous work as a clinician, a trainer, and a researcher. I get to dig into the details, share information, and guide students and families through an intense experience, while getting to know them as individuals.

About Me

A researcher by nature and education, I enjoy learning the details of any situation.

I love helping students find out who they are, what they want, and seeing where they land when they drop the expectations of others. My practice is dedicated to helping students see where and how they can succeed.

One of the most satisfying parts of the job is getting to know each student and seeing them bloom as they discover the work we do together is all about them. I have found that students share their best selves through their essays and applications and witnessing this is immensely rewarding.

As a parent, I understand this process on a personal level, too. While assisting my older two children through their college search and application process I realized how much has changed, especially in the last few years. This is an intense time for families. Working with me alleviates some of the stress, so parents and teens can better enjoy their years together before the students leave home.
