About Me

Jane Baer is a researcher at heart who genuinely enjoys getting into the details of each student's situation. Her practice is built around helping students figure out who they are and what they actually want — dropping the expectations placed on them by others — and she finds real satisfaction in watching students discover that the process is ultimately about them.

As a parent who guided her own two older children through the college search, Jane understands the process on a personal level too, and works to ease the stress it puts on families. She holds an Independent Educational Consultant Certificate from UC Irvine, along with a PhD in Hearing Sciences and an MS in Audiology from Vanderbilt, and a BS in Hearing and Speech Sciences from Miami University.
