About Me
Dr. K.C. Thompson holds a PhD in Cognitive Studies in Education from the University of Pittsburgh, is a former high school social studies teacher, and completed the UCLA College Counseling Certificate with distinction. She's trained teachers on the AP Human Geography curriculum as a College Board consultant and served as an exam reader, and is a certified Highlands Ability Battery Consultant, helping students and adults identify their natural talents and the environments where they'll thrive.
Extensively trained in the College Essay Guy methodology, K.C. is a member of IECA, PNACAC, and SACC, regularly touring campuses and attending conferences to stay current on admissions trends. Her approach centers on authenticity and helping students build genuine self-awareness.
