As early as I can remember, I've always loved growth, organization, performing arts, creativity, entrepreneurship, teaching and mentoring others. Having graduated high school as an honor student and Head Girl, then graduating college with honors with a B. A. in Early Childhood Education, I've always been striving for better. My mother was the perfect example of this as she worked multiple jobs, while raising children and pursuing her degrees.

About Me

In junior high, I taught myself ASL and created a group that would visit churches and schools and community events, performing and fundraising. At that age I was organizing group schedules, ordering fabrics and designing our uniform, ensuring that every detail of everything (including our performances) was as close to perfect. AND...while that was happening, I was writing skits, songs, or poems. * FUN FACT: In high school, I would take bags of ju-ju and guinep from Grammy's tree and sell at school...at one point, I printed the lyrics of popular songs and sold them. I've always loved being my own business!

Fast forward to college, where I worked & studied full time for the four years completing my degree. Two years of my college experience was teaching at a school for special learners, which further pushed me to think creatively.

Upon completion I moved to Abaco as a trained teacher and was placed at a small community, multi-grade school (teaching 2/3 grade levels simultaneously). We had consistent shortages in staff and resources. It was here all of my organzational, creativity and performing arts skills came full circle as my colleagues and I were each our own teacher, clerk, secretary, and at times janitorial staff and security. As the cultural coordinator, teaching dance and encouraging student'sperforming skills we've won multiple awards in the country's National Arts Festival. My greatest reward at that time was receving the Choreographer of the Year Award!

*During that time, I developed healthy relationships with many of the youth in the community and became a mentor to some.

*From January 2014 to the present, I host a weekly training and mentorship group for young girls called 'Valor', with weekly meetings teaching everything from life skills, character development, sewing, baking, crafts...

*I'm a business partner with my husband, now a homeschool mom for my boys (for the past 2 years), an upcoming author, and constantly looking for opportunity to grow and develop and share that knowledge with others.

In short: I'm all things personal growth and development!
