About Me

Jennifer Gates Feit is a licensed School Counselor in New Jersey who offers compassion and insight to guide students and families through the often daunting college admissions process. Her career spans both large public high schools and small, career-focused institutions, where she has supported a wide range of students, from aspiring artists to engineers to those pursuing skilled trades. Jennifer’s own experience of choosing the right college but the wrong major sparked her commitment to helping students align their academic strengths and authentic interests with college majors and careers they will find fulfilling.

Jennifer holds a BA from the University of Rochester and a MA in School Counseling from Boston College. She has also earned certifications in Student Assistance Counseling and School Counseling Leadership from Montclair State University. She is a member of several professional organizations, including the New Jersey Association for College Admission Counseling (NJACAC), American School Counselor Association (ASCA), and New Jersey School Counselor Association (NJSCA).

Outside of work, Jennifer approaches her personal life with curiosity and determination. She once wrote her college essay about her dream of running a marathon and went on to complete seven marathons, countless half-marathons, and several triathlons. These days, she’s more often chasing after her two children, but still finds time to run, hike, bake cookies and explore the world.
