About Me
Elaine Chan was inspired to help other families after guiding her own two children (now graduates of UC Santa Barbara and USC) through the college process, going on to complete a rigorous certificate program from UC Berkeley in College Admissions and Career Planning.
As the first in her family to attend college, Elaine is especially committed to under-resourced students, working with the Acalanes Union High School District, Children's Hospital Oakland Research Institute, UCSF, Oakland Promise, and the YMCA's Y-Scholars Program. In 2018, she received a NACAC Imagine Grant to develop career and affordable-college workshops. Elaine holds an MBA from San Jose State, is a member of WACAC and an Associate Member of IECA, and stays current through ongoing conferences, college tours, and continuing education.
