About Me

Noreen Huxley's path into college counseling began with her own child's college search, when the anxiety and overwhelming demands of the process became more than just a personal project — she discovered a genuine passion for helping young adults present their most authentic selves to colleges. She connects deeply with anxious and creative students alike, helping them look inward to build confidence for the admissions journey ahead.

Noreen's own admissions story was a challenging one — she earned her B.S. in Industrial Design from Art Center College of Design, one of the top programs in the world, as one of the youngest 18-year-olds ever accepted. Twenty-five years later, she returned to school at UC Berkeley Extension after discovering her passion for college counseling, and is an active member of HECA, NACAC, and WACAC, regularly visiting colleges and attending seminars to stay current. As a neurodivergent adult and parent of transgender children, she brings a uniquely empathetic perspective to connecting with a wide range of students.
