About Me

Mariel Kessel understands the pressures of the college admissions process, building strong relationships with students to help them set goals and create the structure to achieve them. One of her favorite parts of the work is helping students find their own voice, coming to understand that the process is as much about them choosing a school as being chosen by one.

Mariel has worked with students at competitive schools worldwide and holds a solid grasp of the many curricula students bring with them. She holds a B.A. from Smith College and an M.A. from Columbia, and as a mother of two young children, enjoys hiking and reading in her spare time.
