About Me

College Bound Resources provides thoughtful, individualized college counseling for students and families in Westchester County, NY, Fairfield County, CT, and virtually nationwide. Founded by Cortnie Rosenhaft, an educator with more than 20 years of experience working with high school students, CBR combines deep knowledge of adolescents, writing and communication with a highly personalized approach to college planning.

Services include comprehensive college counseling, college research and balanced list development, major and career exploration, academic and testing strategy, application planning, Common App and supplemental essay coaching, interview preparation, and decision support. Students may also work with CBR for focused counseling or targeted essay and application support.

Cortnie brings a distinctive combination of education and professional communication experience to college counseling. As a high school English and AP Seminar teacher, she has spent decades helping students strengthen their writing, critical thinking, research, presentation skills, and confidence. Her earlier professional experience in marketing and sales, along with extensive work in public speaking and interview coaching, informs her ability to help students identify their strengths and communicate their stories authentically and effectively.

CBR is intentionally student-centered and relationship-driven. Students develop ownership of the college process while parents remain informed at meaningful decision points. Rather than following a formula, CBR adapts its guidance to each student’s strengths, interests, goals, personality, and needs—providing structure, strategy, accountability, and perspective from early exploration through the final college decision.
