About Me
Julio Machado has worked principally as an educator since graduating college, teaching high school English and math as well as SAT and ACT preparation. In 2008, he and Luke Fronefield co-founded First Class Prep, where Julio now splits his time between business management — hiring and training tutors — and private tutoring, helping students navigate the college application process.
Julio believes what holds most students back isn't missing vocabulary or math concepts, but how they process information and approach difficult problems — improving those fundamentals, he's found, leads to substantial test score gains and better prepares students for the rigors of college.
