Joseph grew up in the northwest suburbs of Chicago, southern Wisconsin, and central Florida. He has counts himself lucky to be able to spend extensive time overseas with his extended family in Lithuania. He loves to travel, play sports, and spend time outdoors in Southern Illinois.

About Me

Joseph David Narusis is currently finishing his doctorate in Applied Psychology with a specialization in Industrial/Organizational Psychology at Southern Illinois University (SIU) in Carbondale, Illinois. Additionally, he works as an academic consultant at BeMo Academic Consulting and teaches advanced statistics and methods at SIU. As a teacher, he firmly believes that every student has the ability to succeed with the right instructions and motivation. One of his favorite sayings is, “It’s only a mistake if you do not learn from it.” He takes this approach when working with his students and focuses on using mistakes as opportunities to improve and develop. There are few things he enjoys more than watching that “lightbulb” click in a student’s head or watching them progress over time.
