Deeply versed with the college admission process, she helps families plan and strategize the application process to best achieve their highest education goals. She works closely with students to realize their potential through reflection and self-discovery, which is a key component in the application strategy.
For the past several years, she has been a keen contributor to the public school education system in the greater Seattle area and very cognizant of the transitional journey of immigrant families in the US. She designs and facilitates workshops on identity perceptions in Seattle area schools, and served as community advisory member for exhibits on Race and South Asia, Wing Luke Museum, and on the Equity and Diversity Committee, Northshore School District, WA. Previously, Anu was Executive Director of Chaya, a Seattle based nonprofit where she led initiatives to support immigrant families. Before relocating to the US, she served in the Indian Civil Service in multiple leadership positions in the Ministry of Finance and the State Government of Andhra Pradesh, India.
Anu has a Masters in Public Administration (MPA), University of Washington, Seattle. She is a post-graduate in History from Delhi University and an M.Phil from Jawaharlal Nehru University, India.
