About Me

Debra Resnicoff was hooked the first time a student called her, shouting "I got in!" — and has since built a word-of-mouth practice spanning college and graduate school applications and educational counseling for grades 9-12. After graduating from Columbia University School of the Arts and working as a private tutor in NYC, she discovered how naturally her theater and film background lent itself to helping applicants tell resonant stories, sharpening that skill over a decade teaching Creative Writing at Columbia's Summer High School Program.

Nearly two decades into her work as a higher education consultant, Debra brings deep insight into the evolving admissions landscape and generational shifts among students. She's especially proud of returning to school herself for her MSW in clinical counseling, which deepens her work with families across the U.S. and around the world.
