About Me

I was hooked the first time a student called me and shouted into the phone, “I got in!” Since then, I’ve built a practice primarily by word-of-mouth that encompasses college and graduate school applications as well as educational counseling for 9-12 grade.



Following graduation from Columbia University School of the Arts, I was working as a private tutor in NYC when I discovered how much fun it is to use my skills from theater and film to support college applicants – particularly telling stories that resonate. Teaching Creative Writing at the Columbia University Summer High School Program for over ten years, honed my ability to engage with teenagers on their choices of top schools and their essays.



Now, nearly two decades as a higher education consultant affords me insight into the evolution of schools and programs, as well as generational quirks and the rapidly changing admissions landscape. I loved going to college and graduate school, which is why I chose this profession – and I’m particularly proud of going back to school for my MSW training (clinical counseling), which deepens my work with students and families from all over the U.S. and the world.
