PEAK College Consulting was founded in 2014 by Rebekah Elmore. Before opening up PEAK, she worked in the business world for seven years, using leadership and managerial skills to run a multi-million dollar company of over 200 contracted employees. Prior to her experience in business she was home, busy raising her four children, two girls and two boys.
Before having her children Rebekah was a middle school teacher where she taught in Westfield, New Jersey. She received her BS in Education from Wheelock College (now part of Boston University) in Boston MA, not far from her hometown of Exeter, New Hampshire.
Using her business knowledge and her love for education and children, she opened PEAK when she realized there was a need for college consulting as she went through the process with her own children. Ultra organized, and passionate about finding the right college fit for each student, she knew she could use her personable touch and way with students, to become a successful Independent Educational Consultant.
Rebekah was trained at the Summer Training Institute at Swarthmore College which was taught by the Independent Educational Consultants Association (IECA). She completed her certificate of Independent Educational Consultant, at University of California, Irvine in 2015. She proceeded to achieve her IECA Professional member status in 2016. Rebekah is also an active member of Higher Education Consultants Association (HECA) as well as a Certified Highlands Consultant. Besides running an active business where she serves 100's of students, Rebekah also visits as many colleges as possible, learning about their admissions process and personality. She attends annual conferences and participates in ongoing professional development.
In 2024, Rebekah successfully passed the board-certified examination and was awarded the prestigious Certified Educational Planner (CEP) designation by the American Institute of Certified Educational Planners (AICEP). This credential represents the highest standard in the profession, signifying a profound knowledge and unwavering commitment to educational consulting. Certification is bestowed upon college admissions consultants who meet stringent application requirements, including specialized training, extensive professional experience, and active participation in professional activities and organizations.
