About Me
Dr. Kendra Millay brings over ten years of experience across private high schools and highly selective universities, including Northeastern and Boston University, currently serving as Director of College Guidance at a private high school. As a former application reader, she's read thousands of personal statements and reviewed hundreds of scholarship candidates, giving her real insight into what genuinely helps a student stand out.
Kendra founded Bright Admit to help students craft applications free of cliché, focused on conveying who they truly are. She holds a Doctor of Education in Higher Education Administration from Northeastern, a Graduate Certificate in College Counseling from UCLA, a Master's in College Student Development & Counseling, and a BA in Human Services & ASL — and previously served as Assistant Dean & Director of Academic Advising at Northeastern while completing her doctoral research on advising and student ambition. Originally from California, Kendra lives in Medfield, MA with her husband, toddler, and French bulldog, Chalupa.
