About Me

I graduated from Kenyon College with a Bachelors of Science and I would go back in a heartbeat. I received my Educational Consulting Certificate from the University of California, Irvine and I am a proud member of HECA and PNACAC.

Prior to working with inspired and amazing college-bound students, I developed educational, multimedia software for Microsoft, including the award-winning Dinosaurs. Go ahead, ask me about T-Rex or the dreaded Velociraptor. I can go head to head with (almost) any 8 year old. I also produced programming for KING-TV. My projects included documentaries, children’s programming, and an occasional stint with Almost Live! Early in my career, I worked with gifted students through the School of Education at the University of Virginia.

While my consulting experience, my background in educational psychology, and my work with gifted students certainly help me better understand and serve my clients, my expertise in media production has become increasingly critical. Applications are no longer simply a record of grades, test scores, and activities. They are carefully curated and produced presentations of a student's interests, curiosities, and values. In many cases, to be successful in the admissions process, students must present a clear and compelling narrative in addition to strong academic and extracurricular credentials.

Every student has an inspiring story to tell. One of the great joys of my job is helping students discover those stories and present them well.
