About Me

Meet Amanda Rickman. Amanda is the Founder and Chief 'College Match Maker' at College Quo. She graduated from Bowdoin College in 2020 with a B.A in Anthropology and History. Amanda brings her intricate knowledge of the college admissions process, as well as her passions for writing, researching, and working with students. She is known for her 'realness' (she will tell it as is), her effectiveness in helping students to shine in their essays, and creating a personal connection with the students and parents who make up our College Quo family. During her time at Bowdoin, Amanda worked as a Senior Interviewer in Bowdoin Admissions, and as a Peer-Advisor in Bowdoin Career Planning. She also traveled to Hanoi, Vietnam to work at Vietnam's Friendship village, and studied abroad in Barcelona where she solo-traveled around Europe. Now, Amanda is in Jamaica full time, and uses her passions and experiences to help students secure acceptances, scholarships, and have a better understanding of their future goals
