About Me
Moni Schlotter brings a rare inside view as a former reader and admissions representative at UC Berkeley and Wellesley College, understanding the often-overlooked qualities that make an application stand out. She sees the college process as a genuine opportunity for personal growth, encouraging students toward a richer, more introspective self-understanding — exactly what admissions offices tend to respond to.
Before college counseling, Moni worked in management consulting at Bain & Company and McKinsey & Company, and developed marketing strategy at companies including BASF, Oracle, and DG Bank. A self-described global citizen, she's lived and worked in Germany and Norway for over a decade, having come to the U.S. from her birthplace of New Delhi at ten months old — she's fluent in English, German, and Punjabi, and is well-versed in international education systems. Moni serves on several community boards, including the Boys and Girls Club of the Peninsula and refugee education programs in Pforzheim, Germany, holds a BA from Wellesley and an MBA from UC Berkeley's Haas School, and lives in Menlo Park with her husband and two college-aged children.
