About Me

Dr. Erin Avery is the founder of Avery Educational Resources, LLC, an independent educational consulting practice guiding students and families through the college and boarding school search and application process. She holds a BA from Boston College, an M.A.R. from Yale Divinity School, an M.St. from Oxford University, and a Doctorate from Drew University.

Erin guides students on a path of self-discovery to uncover their true strengths, interests, and passions — and from there, helps them look beyond rankings to find a select group of schools that will cultivate who they really are and what they want to become. She believes that when the right school is chosen for the right reasons, it not only fosters a lifelong love of learning but lays the foundation for a fulfilling life well beyond the college years.
