About Me

Rachel Katzman began her career as a high school English teacher, spending over a decade at schools including Phillips Andover, The Oxbow School, and Francis W. Parker School, developing a pedagogy grounded in meaningful, curiosity-driven work. While teaching, she earned her EdM from Harvard's Graduate School of Education, and gradually moved into college admissions advising after informally helping overwhelmed juniors and seniors with their applications.

Rachel spent two years as Director of Education at Admitster, a Brookline-based advising agency, before founding her own private practice in her hometown of Arlington, MA. As a classically trained ballet dancer who chose Skidmore College for its dance program, she ended up exploring entirely different fields after an injury shifted her path — spending a year at the Sorbonne, interning at Skidmore's teaching art museum, and serving as editor-in-chief of the literary arts magazine before graduating with honors in English and Art History. That personal experience shapes her core belief that college fit can never be defined by just one interest.
