About Me
Daniel Szeto is Founder and Head of Sesameed Education. He previously founded and led Foundation Global Education, a leading boarding school and university admissions consultancy in Greater China, guiding more than 1,000 families toward the right overseas schools for their children over a 22-year career.
Born and raised in Hong Kong, Daniel's own path into boarding education began when his parents sent him to The Webb Schools in California. He went on to earn his Bachelor's and Master's degrees in engineering from Cornell, then spent a decade in management consulting and financial services across Asia before co-founding Foundation Programs in 2001 — later Foundation Global Education, which grew under his leadership into the largest non-mainland-based boarding school consultancy in China. He stepped down in 2023 to launch Sesameed. Daniel has sent three of his own children to boarding schools in England and Jordan, and currently serves as a trustee at King's Academy. He's based in Singapore but travels frequently to visit boarding schools.
