A former IACAC President with 30+ years as a school counselor, Sandra has personally toured over 250 college campuses and built a specialized arts-focused counseling program.

About Me

Sandra Gilbert holds an MA in Counseling and a BA/MA in Speech Communication, and spent over 30 years as a counselor and college counselor across the Deerfield-Highland Park, Stevenson, Palatine-Schaumburg, Evanston, Maine, and Barrington school districts.

She's a past President of the Illinois Association for College Admission Counseling (IACAC) and has served on NACAC's President's Council and Government Relations Committee, earning IACAC's President's Service Award along the way. Sandra has evaluated applications for Northwestern University, worked as an Admissions Officer at Stonehill College, and taught graduate counseling students as an Adjunct Professor at DePaul. Over her career she's personally visited more than 250 college campuses and helped thousands of students find their fit — including creating a dedicated Passion for the Arts program at Highland Park High School for students pursuing visual and performing arts.
