For 18 years, Ann has worked with a diverse group of students, assisting each in confidently engaging in the college application process. With years of community college classroom instruction in reading, English and study skills, a master’s degree in teaching, and a genuine interest in guiding adolescents and young adults to success, Ann’s experience lends itself keenly to helping students on their educational journey.
Ann was elected to two Boards of Education, serving for 15 years, 12 as president. She is trained in mediation and English as a Second Language (ESL). She is a member of the Independent Educational Consultants Association (IECA), having served as the Association’s president and now serves as its Foundation president. Ann is also an instructor at the University of California (Irvine), teaching the Fundamentals of Educational Consulting in their certificate program for independent consulting. She is part of the American Institute of Certified Educational Planners (AICEP) and a member of NACAC, SACAC and the Learning Disabilities Association; she presents regularly at conferences. As a member of the Character Collaborative, Ann integrates these values into her work with adolescents. Her membership and leadership in these groups entitle her to timely updates on educational trends and the ability to network with professionals across the globe.
