About Me

Doreen Helmke believes preparation is the key to helping students discover and reach the college opportunities that fit them best. Before college consulting, she tutored for many years, taught college planning classes through the Monmouth County Park System and Parsippany Library System, and built a fulfilling career as a senior industry executive — experience that gives her real insight into what hiring managers look for, which she now uses to help students prepare for interviews and internships.

Doreen is a professional member of IECA and belongs to NJACAC, NCDA, and the Gap Year Association, personally visiting 10-15 schools a year and attending national college fairs and regional IEC meetings to stay current. She's a firm believer in giving back, taking on pro bono students each year in the Morris County area.
