Tamra Kerns blends her passion for working with students with 25+ years of high-tech leadership and service-focused business experience to lead Guide To Thrive Consulting. She's passionate about helping students take an intentional, discovery-based approach to their educational journey — from early academic readiness and course planning through personal branding, career exploration, college list building, and every stage of the application process.

A former engineer and Vice President of Global Support and Services at a $2B+ company, Tamra brings a distinctive corporate lens to helping students build critical life skills like decision-making, self-advocacy, and time management alongside academic success. An active CounselMore community ambassador and IECA member with an Independent Educational Consulting certificate from UC Irvine, she visits more than twenty colleges each year and regularly presents at high schools, churches, and volunteer organizations.
