From an early age, JoAllan felt a calling to educate and inspire. She vividly remembers gathering her dolls, younger brother, and neighborhood friends to lead impromptu lessons, sharing the day’s discoveries from her own school experiences. This innate passion for teaching laid the foundation for her remarkable journey in education.
JoAllan attended Colorado State University and the University of Colorado, Denver where she earned a BA in Communication and a M.Ed. in Secondary English Curriculum and Instruction. She then embarked on a distinguished 20+ year career as both a dedicated classroom teacher and a service learning coordinator where she remained committed to empowering students to reach their fullest potential.
Inspired by her meaningful volunteer work assisting students with post-secondary plans at East High School and driven by a profound desire to expand her impact on students’ academic journeys, JoAllan made the pivotal decision to enter the field of college counseling. Eager to equip herself with the necessary expertise, she pursued and obtained an Independent Educational Consultant certificate from the esteemed University of California, Irvine. Now, as an Independent Educational Consultant (IEC) with Antonoff Associates, Inc., JoAllan relishes the opportunity to work closely with families, guiding them towards fulfilling futures tailored to their unique aspirations.
