With a robust background in academic and college counseling, my recent role as College Advisor at Carlmont High School has been a culmination of dedicated efforts to guide students through pivotal transitions. At Blach Intermediate School, the comprehensive counseling programs I created have consistently met the community's needs, underscoring my commitment to student engagement and empowerment.

My approach is characterized by the creation of initiatives that challenge and uplift students, preparing them for the journey to high school and beyond. This commitment is reflected in my collaboration with staff, families, and community members, ensuring a supportive environment for every student under my guidance.

About Me

My work as an Independent Educational Consultant began when I was a college counselor at a large urban public high school; I was approached by a parent 15 years ago to work with students privately; and clients began to appear with little effort on my part. After years of working with students and families privately in college admissions counseling, I decided to give a name to my company and founded La Duke College Counseling in 2006. In addition to my Master's Degree in School Counseling and a Pupil Personnel Services Credential, I am also a Certified Educational Planner specializing in college advising, and am currently completing my Certificate in College Counseling through UCLA. I recently relocated to Bend, Oregon to be closer to family and have recently launched my new website: www.ladukecollegecounseling.com.
