About Me

Sylvia Borgo is an experienced college counselor and essay-writing coach who helps students and families evaluate colleges across academic, social, and financial dimensions to build a genuinely well-matched list. She encourages students to take ownership of their own college journey while providing the guidance and personal attention that helps simplify an often-overwhelming process.

A California native who grew up in Los Angeles before moving to San Diego, Sylvia holds a Bachelor's in Political Science and Communication Studies from UCLA and a Certificate in Educational Consulting from UC Irvine, and is a professional member of IECA. Outside of work, she enjoys family time, walking her dog, the gym, concerts, reading, travel — and by her own admission, a good nap and avocados.
