About Me

I am a San Francisco-based fiction writer and educational consultant.

I grew up in the mountains of Virginia, studied filmmaking at Bard College, and earned my MFA in writing from California College of the Arts. My fiction has appeared in numerous literary journals, I was a MacDowell Fellow, and I am currently working on a novel.

Over the past 20+ years, I've worked with hundreds of students and clients, focusing on college preparation, undergraduate and graduate admissions, application strategy, essay writing, executive function skills, and mindfulness practices. My students are consistently admitted to top universities across the US and internationally.

You can also find me moonlighting as a yoga teacher and reiki practitioner.
