I bring over 20 years of experience in K-12 and higher education, with a bachelor’s, MEd and PhD in Education, all from the University of Virginia. I provide peace of mind and expert guidance to shepherd parents and students through the college selection and admissions process. As a teacher, professor, and college administrator at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, North Carolina State University, and the University of Cincinnati, I have experience working with 100's of top students from diverse backgrounds all around the globe.

My passion is working with students and helping them find empowerment through empathetic and supportive structure. I believe all students have a unique story to tell and a perfect match in a college or university. I help students use multiple techniques to identify their passions, find their voice, and tell a compelling story of what makes them special, what makes them tick, and the individual value they bring to a university. Additionally, I am focused on helping students find the right fit for their individual needs and goals.
Expert in Teaching and Learning
I have written and presented more than 50 publications, workshops, and keynote speaking engagements, specializing in immersive technologies for learning, online teaching, and understanding how people learn through games and simulations. I have consulted for multiple educational technology startups, NASA, and the US Armed Forces. In addition I have helped multiple top universities develop award-winning, student-centered curricula, including UNC School of Public Health, Virginia Commonwealth University, Purdue University, the US Department of Labor and the US Department of Education.
My depth and breadth in K-12 and higher education have helped me develop a nuanced understanding of the college admissions process, as well as my own philosophy of college admission. I focus on finding the right fit, educating families on the process, and crafting the best branded version of your student for college admissions committees.
