Daphne Braun, JD., is the Founder of Elska Consulting, an independent educational consultancy whose mission is to empower students as they make educational choices. Daphne focuses on prep-school admissions, college admissions, essay writing, athletic and performing arts admissions, and non-traditional after-high school experiences and options.

About Me

Daphne brings over 20 years of kindergarten-college educational experience as an educator, administrator, and advisor. She holds a BS from Northwestern University ( Cum Laude ), a JD from Southwestern University ( Magna Cum Laude ), and is a member of the New York Bar of Attorneys. Daphne recently completed a College Counseling Certificate from the University of California, San Diego, an intensive multi-course program focusing on all aspects of college admissions. Her sample college admission essays are used as mentor texts for college applications. Daphne also partners with CollegeVine, a national college application guidance company, where she gives webinars related to the college-education process. Daphne believes students should never feel they are approaching life transitions through a deficit model of “I am not enough” but instead through a positive lens of “What’s right for my family and me?”.
