About Me


Tim has worked in higher education for 30 years, serving in a variety of roles including Assistant Dean of Students, Director of Residential Life, and Associate Vice President of Alumni Relations. After twenty years at Colgate University, he is currently employed at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) as the Director of Alumni Volunteer Services since 2021.

He earned his M.Ed. degree from Providence College in guidance & counseling and advised hundreds of students during his career. He has experience managing legacy admissions, advising student-athletes, and supporting under-represented populations on college campuses. His current work at MIT engages alumni around the world to support the institute.

Tim has lectured on college & community relations, managing alumni volunteers, and sexual violence prevention on college campuses. He is regarded as an expert public speaker, trusted counselor, and advocate for the value of higher education.

He is also the proud father of three boys who have navigated the undergraduate and graduate school application process.
