About Me
Melissa McViney, based in Boston and available virtually, brings extensive experience as an independent educational consultant helping both U.S. and international students through the college admissions process from start to finish. She moved to Boston's South Shore in 2015 after previously working as an educational consultant in Bethesda, MD and London, England, and volunteers with the Sutton Trust Program alongside the Fulbright Association and Trinity College's Admissions Office.
Before becoming a consultant, Melissa practiced family and special education law and served as Associate Director of the Office of Professional Development at Catholic University's Columbus School of Law, where she also earned her law degree. A Washington, D.C. native and graduate of The Holton-Arms School, she holds a B.A. in Sociology from Trinity College and studied abroad at the University of Edinburgh. She's an active Professional member of IECA and holds a Certificate in College Counseling from UCLA.
