I began my college counseling career at Isidore Newman School in New Orleans, where I was also Director of Communications, a senior administrative role, for seven years, as well as an upper school advisor, class dean, and journalism instructor.
Before my career in independent schools, I worked in corporate, non-profit, and agency communications and marketing for 10 years, specializing in communications strategy, crisis management, and writing. My journalism work has appeared in the New York Times, Curbed, the Ritz-Carlton Magazine, WWNO (NPR affiliate), and other outlets.
I hold a bachelor’s degree in English from Yale University (2004) and a master’s from the Columbia Graduate School of Journalism (2009). I am an associate member of the Independent Educational Consultants Association (IECA), a member of the National Association for College Admission Counseling (NACAC), and a graduate of the Stanley King Counseling Institute.
I am proud to serve on the Counselor Advisory Board of Southern Methodist University (SMU).
