At College4u, Ellen considers numerous factors to assist the student and family to create the ‘short list’. We facilitate the decision points around majors/minors and undeclared alternatives. Besides the ‘stick to the timeline,’ we make sure that the application and the essay are the work of the student – we make sure they are complete and offer the college or university the ability to really ‘get to know’ the student and why this student is a terrific match for that school. We provide suggestions on high school course options; summer programs; community service activities and all varieties of extra curricula. For those students with a gift of athletics, performing or visual arts, we will maximize these strengths. If appropriate, we assist in discussions around financial considerations. We can also suggest separate organizations to assist in test prep and/or general education tutoring.

We carefully plan and arrange college visits so that the student and family get the most out of the experience. Ellen will also personally take students on college visits.

We assist the student in every aspect of the college investigation and determination process. We provide an end-to-end service that is most effective if it begins in freshman year.
