About Me

After developing an aptitude for counseling a small group of students, I realized that I wanted to learn more and so I earned my Certificate in College Counseling from UCLA. Today I work directly with students and families (mostly) in the Peninsula, South Bay, and East Bay of the greater San Francisco Bay Area. My passion to help students shows in my personalized approach to each student and the individualized planning that goes with it. My goal is to help each student find their perfect fit college and create the most compelling application possible.



I specialize in college application assistance, academic planning, college searches, and college essays. While I run a solo counseling practice, I do work closely with a small group of local Independent Educational Counselors (IECs). Networking and meeting with 15 to 20 like-minded professionals twice a month helps me stay on top of the ever changing college admissions scene and it helps me guide my students to the best of my ability. When I'm not meeting with students, I'm busy researching colleges and attending various conferences around the country.



I live in Dublin, CA with my husband. Before receiving my Certificate in College Admissions Counseling from UCLA, I earned a BS in Mathematics, and an AA in Accounting/Finance. I have over 20 years of experience as a small business owner. In addition to that I’ve worked/interned as well as volunteered in the Career Center and Counseling Department in a couple of our local high schools and I volunteer as an essay reader/helper for the Matchlighters Scholarship Program. Getting used to being an empty nester is my new big project!
