After graduating from Shawnee Mission East High School, I attended Colorado College and graduated with a B.A. in sociology. My love of all things college admissions was sparked by my own journey towards acceptance and graduation from Colorado College. My college days were full of experiences where I was supported in taking academic risks and challenging myself personally. I consider it to be one of my proudest educational accomplishments. I hold a Master’s degree is Secondary Counseling and Guidance from the University of Missouri-Kansas City. My training and experience in high school guidance and counseling has allowed me to understand the pressures of today’s students and families as they navigate high school and beyond. The thrilling yet daunting journey that both parents and students travel in order to achieve their post high school goals is one that I appreciate. I enjoy seeing the student’s growth and identity development as we work through the college admissions journey. When I am not advising students, I can be found on my own trails in the mountains, desert or glen with my husband, guiding but most likely following my 2 daughters.
