About Me

Jodi Gershoni is an independent educational consultant based in the Washington DC metropolitan area. Jodi helps students gain admission to some of the most prestigious colleges and universities worldwide. She works with each student on an individual basis to identify the “best fit” schools for the student’s academic and personal needs and then advises her students on what is important leading up to and during the college admissions process.

Jodi has built her practice on the principal factor of truly understanding the student’s individual and family educational goals. She believes that ultimately, a successful college admissions experience is a team effort. She teaches the student to own the process and advises each step of the way.

Jodi attended the University of Texas at Austin where she earned her Bachelor of Business Administration with a specialty in Marketing. After graduation, Jodi moved to Washington DC where she worked for Senator Bob Kerrey and the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee and then on to a 20-year career in marketing for early-stage companies and non-profits in the education space.

With a passion for education and helping students find a career path, Jodi decided to put marketing on hold and enroll at the University of California Irvine in its educational consulting program. Combined with countless hours visiting and meeting with college admissions teams, Jodi has quickly grown to deeply understand how to be successful in the admissions process.

Jodi is an active member of the Higher Education Consultants Association (HECA) and the National Association for College Admission Counseling (NACAC). The combination of higher education knowledge and experience in marketing provides unmatched value to students who are looking to stand out among the thousands of college applicants nationwide.
