About Me

Kelly Mendiola understands that the last two years of high school bring real growth in independence and self-awareness for teens — growth the college application process touches on in ways that can create real stress. As a college admissions counselor, she helps parents stay engaged in the exciting parts of the process (dreaming about options, exploring their student's vision, campus visits) while buffering the friction points around grades, financial aid, and deadlines.

Kelly walks families through the full admissions process so parents can feel confident their student has considered the full range of options and presented themselves well — with parents as consultants, Kelly as coach and guide, and students doing the heavy lifting themselves. Drawing on decades of experience in academia and sharp analytical skills, she's helped students gain admission to schools including Brigham Young University, Boston College, Claremont McKenna, Johns Hopkins, NYU, Spelman College, and UT Austin.
